Founder

George Drăgan is the founder of Maverick Asset Services and currently serves as CEO of Smartown Group, overseeing five entities across investment, development and asset management. Through Maverick, he provides independent management and advisory services, complementing his executive mandates.

George has been active in the real estate and facility management industry since 2013, building expertise across asset management, property management and integrated facility management. He began his career in property and asset management at Colliers International, before moving into integrated facility management with Atalian, where he held the role of Executive Manager. Over nearly five years, his responsibilities combined operational leadership with business development, including property management and IFM solutions for major corporate clients.

In his current role with Smartown Group, George manages a diversified portfolio of office and mixed-use assets, coordinating asset performance, leasing strategies, technical compliance and investor reporting. This dual perspective — both as an executive and as an independent advisor — defines Maverick’s boutique, hands-on approach.

George holds a background in engineering, bringing together technical expertise and people-focused leadership to every mandate.
